The hardest part is not to translate ancient concepts and practices into the modern world, but to make them a natural part of your life. That's why this event is more coaching than talks.

You'll turn your initial excitement into building the skill to remain calm and focused no matter how hectic the world is. Each day, you'll be led through a before breakfast and a before sleep meditation (each 15 min) supported by a lunch and tea time class (each 30 min).

The event is divided into two parts: "on cushion" where you learn the basics and "off cushion" where you apply it to your everyday situations.

Milestone 1 (on cushion)

Able to watch your mind and bring it back 

You'll set up a simple mindfulness and meditation routine that you can stick to. You are familiar with a variety of standard practices. You observe the chatter in your head for short periods and bring back your distracted mind to the present.

Milestone 2 (on cushion)

Able to focus your attention for extended periods

You'll be able to hold your attention on whatever object you choose to focus on for several minutes. Your periods of drifting thoughts become smaller, since you are aware of all your thoughts most of the time during your practice.

Milestone 3 (off cushion)

Able to observe the chatter in your head on the go

You practice walking meditations, mindful eating and handling technology consciously. You go through your days fully aware of what is in front of you. When stress, worry, anxiety or fear arise you are able to watch these patterns dissolve again.

Able to stay calm with events, situations, people 

You interact with people while being aware of your thoughts and emotions all the time. You choose responses consciously rather than just reacting. You are no longer at the mercy of people's behavior, but remain calm no matter what.
